The following effects occur when applying sports massage:
- – The capillaries in the skin and muscles open up further, resulting in a marked increase in blood flow.
- – As a result of better blood circulation in the muscles, the waste products formed (e.g. fluid, lactate) will be better removed and muscle soreness will be prevented (as much as possible).
- – The elimination of waste products is also improved by the external pressure of the massage.
- – Muscle tension is affected.
- – Regular massage can contribute to better (sports) performance and faster recovery between training sessions and competitions.
